In late 2010, a group of caring people who saw the importance of planning for the future gathered to establish a way for people to leave a legacy for our proud communities. The Girard Area Community Foundation is the result, a simple and effective way to ensure a better quality of life for everyone, now and for generations to come.

Preserving traditions for those who follow
GACF Mission
Anyone can use the Foundation to give back to Girard-area communities. Individuals, families and organizations can create charitable funds or contribute to the GACF Endowment Fund, which helps meet the challenges of changing times in our communities through an annual grant process.
Our Goals
- To encourage private giving for public good
- To build and maintain endowments for current and future community needs
- To provide flexible tax-exempt options for donors with varied charitable interests.
- To be recognized as a foundation providing local leadership as a catalyst for community improvements
- To strengthen our community both now and for future generations.
