The Girard Area Community Foundation hosts two fundraiser events each year. In the spring, we host a golf tournament at Crawford Hills Golf Course. Then, during the summer, we host a softball tournament in Walnut, Kansas.
These events help fund GACF operations and increase the amount we can grant to the nonprofit organizations that work so hard to make Girard and the surrounding area an even better place to live and work. GACF Charity Golf Tournament
Since 2021, the Girard Area Community Foundation has hosted the GACF Charity Golf Tournament annually at Crawford Hills Golf Course in Girard. Originally, the tournament was a nine-hole, two-person scramble, but starting in 2023 we switched to an 18-hole format. In addition to slots for teams interested in playing, we also offer exciting sponsorship opportunities for local businesses.
Our charity golf tournament is typically hosted in the second quarter of the year.
GACF Softball Tournament
GACF has been hosting an annual softball tournament in Walnut since 2015. The tournament is always a great opportunity for local residents to have fun while supporting a great cause. As with our Charity Golf Tournament, in addition to opportunities for players, we also offer excellent sponsorship opportunities for local businesses.
Our softball tournament is typically scheduled during the late summer or early fall.
Other Events
