GACF grant applications now available

The Girard Area Community Foundation (GACF) is excited to announce that GACF grant applications for 2024 are now open! Our competitive grant applications are available until September 30.

For 2024, up to $63,404 is available to be awarded to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, government entities, and religious institutions for programs that benefit the quality of life in the Girard, Kansas, area. The Girard area includes the communities of Girard, Farlington, Brazilton, Beulah, Walnut, and McCune.

Last year, GACF awarded $65,193 to 13 nonprofit organizations for 15 projects through its competitive-grant process. Awards ranged from $750 to $10,069, with a median of $3,300. Since its founding in 2010, GACF has granted $396,891 during its grant cycle over 130 grants to organizations in Girard and across western Crawford County. About GACF

The Girard Area Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK). GACF’s mission is to preserve traditions for those who follow. Anyone can use the Foundation to give back to Girard-area communities, including through gifts to the GACF Endowment Fund, the net income from which funds our annual grant process.
