The Girard Area Community Foundation (GACF) will be hosting Match Day 2024 on National Giving Tuesday, December 3. GACF has set aside $25,000 to match community contributions to participating charitable funds. Each participating fund will receive a prorated match out of the $25,000 match pool based on total donations received, up to 20% of the total match pool.

Match Day basics
GACF is hosting Match Day on National Giving Tuesday, the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year, that means Match Day is on December 3. Match Day is an exciting fundraising opportunity that will help grow GACF’s participating funds. Here’s how it works:

How we calculate match amounts
Each participating fund will receive 100% of the community donations made to it (less processing fees charged by Stripe for online donations). In addition, each fund will receive a prorated match out of the $25,000 match pool that is proportionate to the fund’s share of all community donations on Match Day, subject to a 20% max.
For example, if a fund receives 10% of community contributions on Match Day, it will also receive 10% of the match pool, which is $2,500. But if 25% of community contributions go to one fund, that fund will only receive 20% of the match pool, which is $5,000.
How you can give on Match Day
You can give on Match Day in person, online, or through the mail.
- In person. Bring your donation, along with a completed GACF Match Day 2024 donation form (coming soon) to GNBank North in Girard, 100 E. Forest. Deadline: December 3.
- Online. Starting on Monday, December 2, we’ll feature all the funds participating in Match Day on our donations page. Deadline: December 3.
- Through the mail. You can mail your check to GACF, PO Box 65, Girard, KS 66743. Please include a completed GACF Match Day 2024 donation form (coming soon) so we know which funds you’d like your donation to benefit. So long as your gift is postmarked by Wednesday, December 4, it’ll count for Match Day! Deadline: December 4.
If you pay by check, please make your check payable to Girard Area Community Foundation. If you aren’t using a GACF Match Day 2024 donation form (coming soon) with your check, please write the fund name(s) you want to donate to on the memo line.
